Admissions & referrals
We work with families, social workers, and referral partners across Virginia to determine whether Peaceful Guidance is the right setting for a young person. Our process is thoughtful, transparent, and centered on the boy's needs.
Who we serve
Peaceful Guidance serves boys between the ages of 12 and 17 who benefit from a structured residential setting with individualized therapeutic support. We work with young people navigating behavioral health challenges, trauma histories, and transitions from other placements.

The admissions process
01
Reach out by phone, email, or our contact form. We'll gather basic information and answer your initial questions — no commitment required.
02
We review available documentation — including assessments, prior placements, and treatment history — to determine whether our program is a strong match.
03
We meet with the referring party, family, and relevant stakeholders to discuss the young person's needs, goals, and our program's capacity to support them.
04
If the fit is right for everyone involved, we move forward with placement planning, transition support, and an individualized care plan.
For referral partners
We accept referrals from the Virginia Department of Social Services, juvenile courts, community services boards, private agencies, and licensed clinicians. Our team is responsive, communicative, and committed to making the referral process straightforward.
